Michael Stefanko is an attorney and certified public accountant specializing in real estate law, including affordable housing and condominiums, tax law, business and corporate law, oil and gas law, and alternative energy law.
Mr. Stefanko is a graduate of MIchigan State University College of Law, who prior to becoming an associate at Loomis, worked in Whirlpool Corporation's tax department. While specializing in state and local income tax, he helped the company deal with income tax and financial accounting matters. In addition, Michael previously clerked for the Michigan Tax Tribunal, his time there was spent dealing with a variety of property tax and state income and business tax issues.
Prior to law school, Mr. Stefanko worked for Yeo & Yeo, P.C., CPAs and Business Consultants, as a staff accountant, in the firm's Lansing office. While at Yeo & Yeo, Mr. Stefanko specialized in the audit of low-income housing tax credit properties and developments, while also gaining both tax and audit experience with non-profit, for profit, and governmental agencies.
