Quentin A. Ewert retired from full-time practice of law in 1987, when he became Of Counsel to the firm. Mr. Ewert graduated from Michigan State University in 1938, and following service in the U.S. Navy, from the University of Michigan Law School in 1946. Mr. Ewert practiced in the firm of Ewert & Fagan from 1946-1952, serving as City Attorney for the City of Grand Ledge (1946-1949). He served as President (1952-1953) of Guardsman Insurance Co. in Pasadena CA, prior to joining the firm. Mr. Ewert has represented the independent telephone industry in Michigan during over 35 years of rapid technological and regulatory change. He was Chairman of a 1969 Practicing Law Institute seminar in New York, NY: “Legal and Business Problems of Independent Telephone Companies.” He is Chairman of the Board of Communications, Inc., which he formed in 1972 and built into one of the largest telephone interconnect companies in the State of Michigan. Mr. Ewert is a member of the Telecommunications Committee of the American Bar Association, the Committee on Corporations and Securities, and the Committee on Lawyers and Judges assistance, and a past member of the Committee on Legislation and Law Reform of the State Bar of Michigan. He is a Past Metropolitan Area Chairman of the Republican Party.
